Blue Corn Yellow Corn Soap
Blue Corn (1921-1999) was a Pueblo potter and artist. Born Crucita Calabaza, she became famous for reviving San Ildefonso polychrome wares. Her work can be found in the Smithsonian Institution, and she won more than 60 awards, including the 8th Annual New Mexico Governors Award in 1981.
It is believed that corn was first domesticated by indigenous people in southern Mexico about 10,000 years ago. Corn was a staple food for indigenous people of North America, and is still considered to be a vital crop today.
The creation of this soap is inspired by the sunflower, which is native to North America. It contains sunflower oil and is shaped to resemble the sunflower.

My soaps are handmade, which means that each one is unique and varies depending on the batch. I recommend you drain out any soap dish you use to avoid your soap dissolving faster. Any handmade cold process soap should be stored in a dry area when not in use.
