Marie Antoinette Bergamot Soap
Marie Antoinette was famed for her lavish and opulent lifestyle and fashions. Her beauty and cosmetic rituals were no less regal. She washed her face with Eau Cosmetique de Pigeon (made with actual pigeon), followed by Eau de Charmes (an astringent) and Eau d'Ange (a whitener). She used a soap scented with bergamot, amber and, herbs and sat in the bathtub on a pad filled with pine nuts, linseed, and sweet almonds. At night, she slept wearing gloves infused with rosewater, sweet almond oil, and wax.
This soap is inspired by the last Queen of France's beauty regimen. It's made with rosewater, sweet almond oil, linseed oil, beeswax, and scented with bergamot essential oil. It's shaped to resemble the fleur de lis, a traditional symbol of the French monarchy.
Ingredients: Sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, coconut oil, rosewater, sodium hydroxide, castor oil, linseed oil, beeswax, bergamot essential oil, gold mica powder.
Net wt.: 3.5 oz/100 g.
My soaps are handmade, which means each one is unique and varies depending on the batch. I recommend you drain out any soap dish you use to avoid your soap dissolving faster. Any handmade cold process soap should be stored in a dry area.
