Modesta Chocolate Soap
Modesta Lavana Perez (1929-2010) was a Nahua healer, activist, legal translator and a trained nurse. She was considered a local authority on ethnobotany and on uses of the temazcal sweat bath. Her wool weavings won many prizes.
Chocolate was first cultivated by the Mesoamericans. The word "chocolate" is derived from the Classical Nahuatl word "chocolātl".
This soap is shaped to resemble the dahlia flower, which is the national flower of Mexico.

My soaps are handmade, which means that each one is unique and varies depending on the batch. I recommend you drain out any soap dish you use to avoid your soap dissolving faster. Any handmade cold process soap should be stored in a dry area.
